phase 1 - winter 2022 - ground prep

Preparing the ground for Spring walnut planting and grafting is best done during the month of January. This includes tilling and early fertilization. Fertilization can be easily achieved by burning brush and excess wood, in a safe and controlled manner. This yields phosphorus and potassium, 2 of the big 3 components necessary for a successful crop (with Nitrogen being the third).
